During the Top 5 final question, it became clear that Miss Spain had landed her place in Miss World legacy. Her confidence, sincerity, and awe-inspiring beauty won over the judges and the audience.
The rest, as they say, is history.

Asked on her feelings having handed over the crown and the torch to her successor, Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss said “I am sad that my reign as Miss World has come to an end but I am excited for all the new beginnings the future will hold for me. I can’t wait to marry my fiancé and I am leaving on a high because I know Mireia will do an amazing job. Her sincerity and kindness will take her far and I look forward to seeing her journey of goodwill as the new Miss World.”

Moments after she was crowned the 65th Miss World, Mireia, who was fighting back tears, thanked her family, friends, and fellow contestants for supporting her on her journey to the Miss World crown, saying “Without the love I have received from all of the people I have met here, and from all of the people wishing me well and supporting me at home, I would never have gotten to this point. I want to show them and the world that I am deserving of the Miss World title and I hope to do everyone proud.”

From all of us at the Miss World Organization, we wish Mireia an incredible year as Miss World, full of unforgettable memories and life-changing experiences, and we look forward to sharing her year, travelling around the world and spreading the message of Beauty with a Purpose, with her.
