Ifeoma Sharon Anya, winner of Miss Tourism Nigeria, visited Pulse TV and had a chat with the network about her journey and roles as a beauty queen in an exclusive one on one interview.
More
and more we’re seeing a rise in pageantry in Nigeria, with a lot of
young women using the competition as a platform to better the world and
themselves.
In her interview, Sharon beamed as she talked about her parents support of her and her pageantry career, stating that this was her third competition.
The beauty queen also went on to site Agbani Darego, the 2001 Miss World as a great influence and inspiration.
She
also mentioned; “I actually see myself as a charismatic
leader...tourism is all about travelling around and enhancing your
knowledge...I see myself as an ambassador and a leader.”
In
rounding off, the young beauty says “people think she’s too fat to be a
beauty queen” and that she talks to girls, “you don’t have to starve
yourself...know what you’re doing and have something upstairs.”
It was a pleasure talking to Sharon and we look forward to the new projects in the works as she promotes tourism in Nigeria.
