Woman arrested after Facebook post banning Muslims from her beauty salon

A beauty salon owner has been arrested after allegedly making Facebook posts saying she would no longer take bookings from Muslims in the wake of the Paris terror attacks. According to Thames Valley Police , a 43-year-old woman was arrested under section 19 of the UK Public Order Act.

Section 19 relates to "the display of written material which is threatening, abusive or insulting with the intention of stirring up racial hatred, and for producing malicious communications."

The woman has been named locally as April Major, proprietor of Oxfordshire at-home salon Blinks of Bicester but she has not as yet been charged with an offence.

The post on the Facebook page of Blinks of Bicester, reportedly read:

"Time to put my country first. "Blinks of Bicester are no longer taking bookings from anyone from the Islamic faith whether you are UK granted with passport or not."
Another post allegedly read:
"I have been inundated with messages tonight as I said I would not book any muslin [sic] or Islamic client. I stand by that completely as a UK citizen."
And a third reportedly said: "I hope your families get blown up by ISIS."

All the posts were later deleted.

In a statement, the Police said: "We take all such complaints seriously and will investigate."
