In February 2016, 28-year-old South African media celebrity Bonang Matheba graced the cover of Forbes Woman Africa.

To many Nigerians Bonang Matheba came on the radar when she briefly dated Nigerian pop star D’banj. Their love affair sparked the continent and they were Africa’s biggest power couple in entertainment.

At the 2015 MTV MAMA, Bonang Matheba and D’banj officially announced their relationship when they kissed on live TV. The relationship shortly crashed after that.

Bonang’s love life created more headlines when DJ Zinhle last year claimed that the media personality and her baby daddy AKA where seeing each other when she was pregnant. The drama from that episode went on for a while.  In January, AKA and Bonang Matheba vacationed together at an exotic spot.
