Neymar reject Real Madrid offer

If Gianluigi Buffon is to be indulged and Lionel Messi really is an "alien," then Neymar must surely be the best human being currently playing the beautiful game. The Brazil captain earned another perfect 10 for his superb display in Barcelona's 4-0 win against Real Sociedad on Saturday, though reports in the Spanish press suggest Real Madrid are considering a shock move for the 23-year-old.

According to AS, Madrid president Florentino Perez is planning a "grand offensive" to try to make amends for failing to sign Neymar from Santos in 2013, and will look to better any prospective new contract that Barca offer the Selecao star as well as paying his €190 million buyout clause.

But Sport leads with the story that Neymar will say no to Madrid, with the forward increasingly likely to stay in Catalonia after declaring his intent to sign a new Camp Nou deal. Still, the Brazilian showed with Manchester United's summer interest that he's at least has a willingness to listen to what offers are out there -- even if it's Barca's fiercest rivals who are the ones doing the talking.
